Stephen Curry has been vocal about the discrepancies amongst men’s and women’s collegiate athletics.
Golden Condition Warriors star Stephen Curry and his spouse, Ayesha, are teaming up to build a scholarship endowment for women’s athletics at Stephen’s alma mater, Davidson Faculty.
The Currys are contributing an undisclosed amount to launch the fund with hopes of encouraging other donors. The purpose is to have an immediate impact on Davidson’s more than 200 female athletes.
Stephen Curry produced the announcement Thursday on social media:
“Davidson faculty is where it all begun for me, and it no question well prepared me for leadership and service. I’m permanently grateful for the unwavering guidance from the complete Davidson neighborhood. The explanation I am who I am nowadays is also since of robust, powerful women that have poured into my daily life all these several years. Now as the father of two girls, I want them to improve up without any boundaries on their futures.”

Davidson president Carol E. Quillen reported in a statement, “Stephen and his relatives exemplify Davidson’s main values, and this gift is one more extraordinary illustration of how their creativity, travel and convictions serve the prevalent very good.”
Curry played at Davidson from 2006-09, and averaged 25.3 factors whilst taking pictures 41% from 3-place vary.
